Everything I Want In A Band!
All I can say is that if you dig any of the following: Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Gales, Lance Lopez, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Philip Sayce, or Indigenous, get this CD immediately! In fact the simplest, best description I can come up with is: Very similar to Jake E. Lee's masterful Badlands in structure, only much bluesier and not as heavy. But this Scarlett Runner CD is nothing short of brilliant! Thanks to Pittsburgh Jeff for turning me on to this disc, it'll be ruling my player for the forseeable future!
Just great rock/blues music!!!
It takes more than phenomenal talent on an instrument and solid vocal stylings to make great rock/blues music. It takes some not quite defineable element that takes the listener beyond the playing and singing to another place created by the song. But then there are those rare occasions when phenomenal instrumental talent and solid vocal stylings are combined with that extra, nebulous something and that's when we really find great music. That is Jason LeRoy and Scarlet Runner for me.
Full of Energy
I have known Jason Christiansen for several years and have always loved to see and hear him play live. He has always had a lot of energy and feel for the music, which is very hard to capture in a recording. I am proud to know Jason and own this album. It feels like I am there watching him on stage. I have an extensive library of music and I would definitely rate this album as one of the best. Keep up the hard work and dedication.
