Why Christopher Young is one of the Best
I love this eerie score for the sequel to The Grudge. Having loved his scores to The Grudge and The Exorcism of Emily Rose, I listened carefully to the score to The Grudge 2 while I saw it in theatres. He does an amazing job of creating a mood with this music and it is both creepy and strangely wonderful at the same time. The original theme from The Grudge is retained expecially in the first track, but it isn't a complete copy of the first score. For the most part this album is all new and something worth considering if you're a fan of the movie or any of Young's scores in the past. Furthermore, I can't wait to hear what he does with the Spider-Man 3 score in the summer of 2007. Also, great job iTunes with getting this online for sale weeks before it is released on CD. As a side note that I'm adding on since I originally wrote this review. Attacking someone in another reivew and calling them a retard because they rate something highly is just immature. Also for those who give a SOUNDTRACK a low rating based on their opinion of the MOVIE makes absolutely no sense and takes away from a more accurate rating of the soundtrack in question. And what does the titles of the songs being in Japanese have to do with anything? This franchise is based on a Japanese series! Seriously, grow up guys.
Great music!!
Christopher Youngs work on this score is emotional and very well done. Christopher along with his arranger (Martin J. Stpierre) evokes many different moods with this score, and in the original Grudge film. His works on the Hellraiser films, and on the upcoming Ghostrider with Nicholas Cage is most inspiring.
good album
This movie is good. The music is good for Halloween or other scary events. But don't buy this album just to listen to. It's not good in that way.
