Not Flamenco, Just Damn Good Guitar!
This album is exceptional.The guitar work by these various artists is smoking hot and though it sounds spanish, it is more than that. You'll find that you can mix these tracks into playlists of Mexican Ranchera, Carribean, Spanish, and even Smooth Jazz and New Age! There are two problems however. The songs are loud, so to mix them with other tracks, you'll need to burn a CD, then rip them to the proper volumes, or use a sound editing program to normalize these to other tracks in your list. Is a lotta work, but it pays off. The other problem is minor and insignificant. You gotta buy the tracks individually. There is no 'buy the complete album' button. Big deal. No es un problemo! A bonus is found here. Many of these artists have albums, so jump to their tunes by clicking the artists' name link. You'll find more of this great music. Also, there is a second CD -- Guitar Greats: The Best of the New Flamenco II. Go listen to it! This and the second album both get strong buy recommendations from me. This music is hot, and very versatile for mixing into playlists. GET SOME!
