iTunes Review

Eric Church wrote half of Terri Clark's "The World Needs A Drink" before setting out on his own, which may be why he's posing pensively with a bottle of whiskey and a glass on the cover of his debut album Sinners Like Me. Most of his songs roll with a similarly saucy swagger to Clark's hit, while others aspire to be red state/blue collar anthems by blending the same sin and redemption duality found in Nashville (where strip clubs and prayer chapels coexist side by side on the same city streets). "Before She Does" opens with throaty guitars that sound like they were borrowed from the intro to Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer" as Church's lyrical convictions draw a line in the sand and dare you to step over it. "How 'Bout You" plays with the same cocksure righteousness and a good ol' boy drawl that sounds more pronounced in the angrier moments. After coming off at times like Bill O'Reilly fronting the Charlie Daniels Band, "Pledge Allegiance To The Hag" is a welcome nonpartisan tribute to Merle Haggard (who also makes a vocal cameo here).

Must Buy

Eric Chruch is with out a doubt the best new person to enter into the country music scene since King George and King Garth. Maybe its just me but every single one of the songs on the album Sinners Like Me is like me looking into a mirror and seeing myself. Eric tells it like it is. The songs on this album will strike a cord with anyone no matter what type of music they normally like. I myself, have introduced all of my friends to this cd and they have all gone out and bought it. I should probably mention the fact that since i bought this CD (the day it was released) it has not left my CD player....No, that doesn't mean thats all i listen to but i do have XM and regular radio but no matter what is going right or wrong in my day i know i can always rely on this CD to cure whatever ales me. I would love to tell you all to buy this and if you don't like it i will give you your money back but i can't. I will tell you that this CD is my life....Granted i wasn't always a little angel but this CD shows me that there are a lot more sinners like me out there.

Unbeatable!

Ive always been a country fan but this is different. In the album Eric Chruch puts the country music in country music. Every song seems like it has a personal touch almost like he has been there unlike all the other artist out there. Anyone out there that asks me what my favorite song is i simply reply the Sinners Like Me album because there is not a bad song on the album!

Two Pink Lines

Short and simple... I loved that song, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when I heard it the first time! I don't no much about him. But I know what I like to hear, and he sings it. I also like his song "Love Your Love the Most". Overall a great listen, therefore I recommend his stuff to country fans.
