Band with roots
The Revenants is a local horror punk band from Louisville, KY. They formed a while ago, around '96. Most of them I know. I got this album when it first came out, I like to support local bands, even in a desperate attempt to keep the louisville scene alive. If you like the misfits or anything from Glenn Danzig you'll like this. Although I don't applaude copy cat bands, these guys and girl are able to competently pull off a really unique style while still in the same ballpark of horror punk.
Good album, good local band!
This Louisville band is pretty much the only ones left from the old punk scene. Saw them live a couple of months ago and had great fun. Like the previous poster said, if you like Misfits you'll probably dig this album, although the band really puts a new spin on a classic genre. :)
