Wonderful Blend of Soul and Jazz

This album is outstanding. I had no idea what to expect before I listened to it. One of my Italian friends let me listen to "This Is What You Are" and I was hooked. I had to have this album. All the songs are great. It is great when driving or just when you are sitting around with friends. I highly recommend it.

This is my new favorite album.

I saw the "This is what you are" video on TV (cool video) and immediately checked to see if I could get the album on i-tunes. That song is super catchy but the rest of the album absolutely stands up to it. For fans of modern jazz this is a great take on a classic idiom. And that voice(!) -- immediately transforms my living room into a lounge...

Muy Delicioco Maestro Biondi!!!

This is crazy fabulous music. I can't seem to get enough of it. Fun and playful, sexy and sensual, better than Sinatra's vocals with outstanding jazzy instrumental backup. Man Biondi you've got talent - you must come tour in the States sometime! Thanks for the recommendation on Nortec Collective (very cool).

Italian jazz-soul vocalist Mario Biondi was born of artistic stock in the Sicilian city of Catania. His great grandfather was a respected painter, his grandmother a singer, and his father a popular songwriter. Biondi sang throughout his childhood, first performing in public at age 12 in church, and soon singing in public squares before hundreds of people. From there he competed in the Festival della Canzone Siciliana, taking third place. Biondi's musical pursuits earned him the opportunity to perform...
