by jasperwebbvery cool of mr thal-- aka bumblefoot-- to explain the dopeyness that is itunes mindlessly ripping all the silence then, even more mindlessly--charging for it.
in the end, apple is a big dumb corporation--a sorta cool one--big big and dumb nontheless.
anyhow, bumblefoot is a monster and his music kicks serious shred a*s-- good songwriter too if you listen to the lyrics.
but guitar players will be too bizizay drooling over his mindboggling chops to listen to any pesky lyrics.

Here's why the album has all those silent tracks...
by Bumblefoot (yep, this is my album...)In the original CD, the disc was encoded after the last song (track 13) ended to keep running silently, track numbers changing every few seconds. After a few minutes a hidden song called "Cactus" would come on. When the song finished, the CD would continue running silently, the same way. A few minutes later, a 2nd hidden song would come on, then the CD would end.
Unfortunately, the charm of hidden songs is lost in today's MP3 world, and the people who ripped this CD for digital downloads (wasn't me, I swear!) did not take into consideration that seventy-something tracks of silence was ridiculous to include, even more ridiculous to charge money for! All I can suggest is to buy the songs you want, or buy the full album and delete the silent tracks. I at least hope you enjoy the non-silent tracks more than the silent ones.
