I'm 64, so I grew up with Hoppy, Gene, and Roy. Me and my friends used to go to the theatre every Sat morning to watch the good guys catch (not kill) the bad guys...and we loved every minute of every show.

My personal favorite was always (and still is) Roy Rogers. He really did teach me how to 'shoot straight'! This song is so typical of Roy; he was so grand, and yet, so simple. I don't think anyone but my Dad had more influence over my growth.
