A great mix

This is a great mix of vocals, music and emotion if you want good soild oldies than this is the band

These are the originals!

Really! "The original mixes on those two songs are no-holds-barred better than what's here." These ARE the originals. Look at the release date - 1972. These are the songs I listened to on AM radio as a teenager. I remember the first vinyl LP I ever purchased was Three Dog Night "Naturally," in 1971. I think "Harmony" was the next one they released. It's not quite as good as "Naturally" but it has some great hits, like Never Been to Spain, An Old Fashioned Love Song, Night In the City, and Family of Man. Nobody dominated the charts like Three Dog Night in the early 70s, with hit after hit for several years. I saw them in concert in 1974 - they put on a great show. No one could touch their perfect three part harmonies, and Chuck Negron has to have one of the greatest voices of all time.

Great!!!!!

What a tight playing band. Then superb vocals on top of that. With some great song writing . That's what makes this band so fantastic. All of the hit's are here. The tracks are 5, what a great version of a Marvin Gaye song, this version rocks. the rest would be tracks 7-10. All of those are some of there best. " My Impersonal Life" one of Brian Wilsons favorite tracks. He was producing them in the late 60s early 70s until the Beach Boys got jealous and jumped on Brian about giving away to many good songs. One was "Time to get Alone" which they did record and sounds great, as did the Beach Boys. Had Brian kept working with them as he was going to put them on the Brother records label he would have made millions. What songs Brian would have produced with them we can only dream about.

Three Dog Night scored a succession of 21 hit singles, including eleven Top Tens, and twelve consecutive gold albums from 1969 to 1975, thanks to the slick, sometimes soulful vocal harmonies of singers Danny Hutton, Chuck Negron, and Cory Wells and an excellent ear for quality material. While often criticized as commercial, the band was noted for its creative arrangements and interpretations, and their cover choices gave exposure (and royalties) to several talented songwriters: Nilsson ("One"), Laura...
