Poe's Amazing

This is one of the most amazing musical compliations of the past 10 years. This album touched me on such a personal level as it goes through the various feelings she encounters durring the loss of her father, who was estranged from her mother. "If you were here" moves me to tears almost every time I hear it, as it reminds me of the loss of my grandfather. The inclusion of recordings of her fathers and daughters voices make this album haunting. There isnt' a bad song on it. Walk the walk is one of those songs you hear and wonder why it never made it big. Amazed is a beautiful song both lyrically and musically. All of the songs on this CD are well written and organized, with beautiful electronic, and traditional elements. People who like artists like Imogen Heap, Sia, Psapp, Snow Patrol, and Charlotte Martin will love POE. The sad part of this album and artist is that we've been denied her work and voice becasue of contract conflicts. She has not recorded anything for many years because she doesn't want her previous recording company to profit from her work. You may find some of her vocals in Conjur One, though her name isn't used. Her contract expires in 2012 from what I've read, so hopefully she's been writing and will have alot to show for the 7 year hiatus.

Brainwashing tunes?!?

That had to be one of the most moronic reviews I've ever read on itunes... Poe is a brilliant and original artist, and then you go and cheapen her work by spouting a bunch of nonsense about "brainwashing" and "extracting energy"? get a life.

Amazing in so many ways.

A few of these songs were inspired from the book, "House Of Leaves." She has turned stories from that book into beautiful peices of music. Sometimes powerful. Sometimes Scarie. The bonus track of "Hey Pretty" contains quotes from the book. A must listen and a must read on both parts.
