Rock solid female-fronted Industrial

This is great release - the vocalist has a beautiful range & brilliantly powerful projection in her voice. The only reason I didn't give this effort 4 stars is because the EP offers only 3 original tracks (the latter half of the release is remix work). While that may be exciting for some, I'd much rather have more complete songs from this very promising outfit. Comparatively speaking, I:scintilla’s vocalist sounds somewhat similar to Jamie Blake of Vixtrola. The production on Havestar is transparent, clean and extremely glossy. For rivet heads looking for a more aggressive release, the anger is at a relative minimum here - so for someone seeking a more breakneck record, approach with some caution. However, the standout track on Havestar is easily “The Bells,” (an apparent re-working from an earlier independent release) and I wouldn’t be surprised to see I:scintilla pick up more momentum as the word gets out. Certainly an act to watch out for. Great work.

Great Vocals + Driving Beats

I had the pleasure of seeing I:scintilla with Mankind Is Obsolete in Clinton, IA, it was an awesome show. Vocals were never out of tune, believe me, I make it a point to pay close attention to a band singer's pitch. The band, in general, was energetic and well recepted by the crowd. A "Must Own CD."

Burn Away

Sure this album has Havestar, Scin, and The Bells from The Approach, but the main point of this on was for Capsella (Toxin Mix) which was released as their first music video. Hands down that is the best song I've heard from I:scintella. This is true female fronted Idustrial, and possibly the best I've heard. Another great song that should be collected from this artist is Capsella Bursa Pastoris (Toxin Mix) which has a bassy feel to it.
