YES! 8'D
I am SO glad this is on here...yay for being able to buy a new Darren Hayes song! (Even if it's just a cover...the man is AMAZING!)
iTunes doesn't have enough Darren Hayes (compared to the UK and Aussie stores), but I'm glad they at least have this! ^_^ More! More! More, please! :)
Finally a new song from Darren
I agree with Luxlucis, Darren has such a amzing voice. ITunes get more of Darren's work the the United States, can't wait for early 2011 Darren's new albums drops.
A worthy tribute album
I'm not generally a fan of tributes, duets, and "Joe Schmoe Sings the Standards" albums. As money-making vehicles, they usually have no artistic value and serve only to give fans something mediocre to listen to while waiting for a "real" release from their favorite artist. That being said, Tim and Neil Finn actually deserve a tribute, have been around long enough to warrant a tribute, and these songs are sufficiently re-imagined so that they give listeners something that could be called "new."
Hopefully, people will hear about this CD (and its sister project, She WIll Have Her Way, featuring only female vocalists), and enjoy the master songsmiths that the Finn Brothers are. And they are truly superior songwriters in an era where that craft is a dwindling art. (I only wish there was a track from Eddie Vedder here; his live collaborations with Neil Finn were fantastic, and I'm not a big Pearl Jam fan. Check those out on one of Finn's Seven Worlds Collide compilations).
