Since the 2007 release of her debut Say It, Britt Nicole has eased into the role of a Christian singer/songwriter with increasing maturity and confidence. Her upward trajectory is confirmed by her EP Acoustic, featuring a well-chosen selection of previously released songs (plus one new number) offered in a folk-pop format. By stripping away their hard-pumping beats and glossy techno colors, tunes like “Set the World On Fire” and “Headphones” gain a fresh intimacy and spark. The joyful shuffling groove of “Hanging On” works especially well as an acoustic number. More importantly, Nicole’s heartfelt Christian testimony seems more direct and emotionally resonant in these quieter settings. As a singer, she’s gained more nuance and power from her earliest recordings. Acoustic’s arrangements reveal her R&B influences more clearly, as her rhythmic shadings in “Walk On the Water” attest. The newly recorded “Found By You” is a passionate confession of faith with a light string backdrop.

Raw, Beautiful, Completely What You
I became a fan of Britt since her first album 'Say It' came out because of my two sisters who became more than a little obsessed with it. We listened that album into the ground, that was all they wanted to play in the car or anytime they had a say in what we listened to. I was skeptical and didn't really care that much but after a while I realized she was really good!
The three of us all eagerly awaited the release of 'The Lost Get Found', which was an equally good (and even debatably better) album. We happily sat back and watched as her popularity grew, K-LOVE played the singles, and she got the attention she so rightly deserved.
Then last Fall we had the chance to see her and Phil Stacey open for Natalie Grant in concert, and honestly I think I enjoyed Britt more than Natalie. She's pulled off two albums near perfectly and her next step is very like something Switchfoot would do: take a step back and really examine, deconstruct, and recreate who she is.
This EP blew me away. I'm writing this at 12:50 A.M. and I've given it two listen throughs already. I don't know where to start.
Every track is just gushing through with emotion, praise, and true musical blessing. The acoustic guitars are spot on at every track and the songs all feel completely new.
I can't recommend this enough even to new listeners, but if you couldn't buy the whole album I'd start with 'Hanging On' and 'The Lost Get Found'. Those are probably my two favorite but really. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS.

I am soooooo happy that Britt Nicole came out with a new CD. This CD, Acoustic, is an awesome CD. It is soo worth the money. Everyone, buy this!!!

Sweet and moving.
Britt Nicole doesnt put a fott wrong here. With only a little over a year since "The Lost Get Found" was released i think it was safe to say we werent planning to hear from her any time soon. But he she is with and acoustic ep. With every song sounding just as astounding as their origonal counterparts. Britt proves that she could make an album that is strictly acustic and still rock out and make us dance! Her trembling voice on all but songs 2 and 3 makes me cry. She is on the rise and this is just another launching pad. "Found By You" is by far this eps biggest asset! Its a moving song that speaks to us all no matter what. Britt Nicole is just showing us what an amazing artist she is. Even when stripped of her rythmic beats and pop flair she can still amaze us and move us!
Buy and buy now! Dissapointment will never even come into your mind!
