Album Review

The concept that seems to be guiding this, one in a long line of rehash repackages, is a focus on romantic ballads. You get well-worn hits like "Love Me Tender," "Can't Help Falling in Love," and "Suspicious Minds," not-so-well-worn hits like "She's Not You," the original version of "The Girl of My Best Friend" (covered by Ral Donner for a big hit), and other odds and ends on this 22-track compilation. The rarities, if you could call them that, are a stereo version of "I've Lost You" and a version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" with the dubbed applause removed. Only regular pilgrims to Graceland need to get in line, but if they're looking for an Elvis collection to create a romantic mood, this isn't bad.
