man what happened?...
I had the pleasure of hearing these songs in austin on the 4th of july and they were soo powerful and good, just tom and his guitar. Now i've heard the drum machines and "production" they feel ruined. It's not simply a "oh, you know i want a real roots no production affair, SELLOUT SELLOUT" situation, it feels cheap. If you want to hear the songs the proper way, go to the against me forms, look up the audio from Emo's on the 4th of july. The songs are not mastered, but they are good. All the songs minus Cowards sing at night are there and its free. Please don't hate the songs off this album because they were ruined in the studio....
This Isn't Against Me!
It's not against me, hence why it was released under 'Tom Gabel'. So yeah, if you're looking for an AM! EP, then you're looking at the wrong item. But if you want a great collection of songs, then this is it. Don't be discouraged by the bad reviews.
Amazing!
I've been listening to these songs as Tom has posted them on his website, and they are just another example of his strength as a song writer. They're sung with the great passion he brings to AM! and I'm excited that his solo work makes the same powerful statement that AM! does. I could listen to Harsh Realms for hours. Worth every penny spent for this music and more, it's a shame itunes doesn't allow you pay more when the music is this good.
