Album Review
In the late '70s and early 80s, Amy Grant enjoyed little exposure outside of Christian circles. But that started to change in the mid-'80s, when A&M promoted her aggressively in the secular market. And in the '90s, secular audiences accounted for the vast majority of her sales. Christians were hardly the only ones buying Heart In Motion, one of Grant's biggest sellers. Even though she wasn't beating listeners over the head with her beliefs, Grant's wholesome, girl-next-door image was a big part of the appeal of perky pop-rock offerings like "Every Heartbeat," "Galileo" and the major hit "Baby Baby." And it's certainly a key element of another huge single from the album, the idealistic ballad "That's What Love Is For." Grant was a major star, and best of all, she wasn't acting like one.

This was my first CD EVER! I remember dancing to every track in the living room, it is still a classic!
Best of Amy Grant!
These songs are from 1991, but they are so peppy people of today would love them! Worth the money this is the best of Amy Grant right here! I love her!!!
Poignant album
I know this is her big cross-over to pop, but this album was an unusual part of the soundtrack of my life when things were becoming more and more clearer to me at such a young age. It maked a time when changes were big and there was no predicting what could happen next. This album helped keep me grounded, whereas other crazy alternative albums would have inspired me to run away and be a pretentious little a-hole (ahem, Green Day). I've always loved Amy Grant, no matter what stage of life I"ve been through. She's the constant thread reminding me that there are good moments in life, and dammit we should be thankful for them.
