GREAT

okay everyone needs to stop complaining about this song it's called GROWING UP he couldn't bash the pope and God on every album he's giving you all a glimpse into the dark life of Manson he said the song is about how his gf who is like 20 yrs younger then him came in wearing heart shaped glasses just like on the movie poster for lolita (a girl who is attracted to older men) and he said to her don't break my heart and I won't break your heart shaped glasses and it donned on him hey I should write all my songs like this this song is true and honest and is about HIM he's giving you a glimpse again into his life into what he holds dear I think this song shows much maturity and can't wait for the whole album to come out if I was your vampire is another song about his life this whole album is going to be amazing so everyone needs to back off of him when they say he's changed to much he couldn't stay the same anti-god hate monger forever it would get old he no longer is just going for the shock value but making something of substance with each album he moved away from pure shock value to acctually making valid points to now being very honest and opeining up his new song is showing tremendous growth and no it's still the same dark lyrics we've all come to love and I've read the lyrics for the rest of the album to VERY VERY DARK no worries people he hasn't lost it just cause he isn't mister anti-christ anymore doesn't mean he still can't be the manson we've all come to know and love

The Beginning of the End...?

My god. Where to begin. First off, I am a Manson zealot. Though i found The Golden Age of Grotesque to be a much weaker effort than any of his previous releases, i still enjoyed it but had much higher expectations for what Mr. Manson would do in the future. Needless to say, I left a lot of room for error and even by my somewhat low standards, I find Heart Shaped Glasses to be extremely sub-par Manson. The song is very Bowie-esque, which normally would be a good thing, but not for Manson. Though Bowie is probably his biggest influence, the raw power and exuberance that shone through such classics as Disposable Teens or Lunchbox is abandoned for more of a dance pop kind of feel. There is a lack of that trademark Manson hookiness and fist pumping pulse that has driven all his other releases, singles especially. What disturbs me the most is that Manson seems to be having a lot less fun. Where is the evil? Where is his distinctive snarl? Where are the diabolically clever (and scarily resonant) lyrics? Eat Me, Drink Me is obviously going to be a big change for Manson, focusing more on himself and his relationships instead of the world around him, and I am prepared for that (even excited for it), as long as it is of better quality than this. The other track currently circulating the internet, If I Was Your Vampire, is very good though. A bit overwrought (as I imagine the rest of the album will be) but great nonetheless. With any luck Manson's more mature direction wil allow him to grow as a musician but not lose his edge, whcih is apparent in this particular song.

Great Single ! EAT IT DRINK IT.

Great new Manson single from a great new album EAT ME DRINK ME. A little 80's old school sound with the unmistakable Marilyn Mason touch. Good Stuff.

Love him or hate him, the self-proclaimed "Antichrist Superstar" — Marilyn Manson — was indisputably among the most notorious and controversial entertainers of the 1990s. Celebrated by supporters as a crusader for free speech and denounced by detractors as little more than a poor man's Alice Cooper, Manson was the latest in a long line of shock rockers, rising to the top of the charts on a platform of sex, drugs, and Satanism. Though widely dismissed by critics, his brand of metal nevertheless...
