There's Nothing Like a Little Heartache & Revolution!

Okay, so the Hollowbodys have to be my favorite new punk band hands down. This rocking quartet comes straight outta’ punk rock’s final frontier of Southern Oregon (really!) and their sound is rough, rowdy and rebellious as all hell. Their guitars are all hollow (thus the name) and their sound is totaly electrifying with gripping songs full of aggressive energy, spit, fire and fury. “Heartache and Revolution” is their debut (digital only release) and the band seriously kicks out their snarling, free-wheelin’ brand of in-your-face rock n’ roll with reckless abandon. Their blistering songs hit home like audible Molotov cocktails creating a full-blown sonic riot. Their edgy and unbridled punk sound is reminiscent of such early L.A. punk luminaries as X and Hole with a solid dose of Social Distortion blended in like a good stiff shot. But it’s not all just gamblin’, guns and girls – it’s guts, grit and glory with passionate power screaming for lost love and revolutionary change – a battle cry for disenfranchised punks everywhere to unite under the banner of personal freedom and liberty. Do yourself a favor and download your copy now, plug it into your iPod and then hit the streets and get the revolution started.

Finally a new punk band I can listen to!

The Hollowbodys tear it up! There are 2 singers--one chick and one dude. It sounds kind of like X except it's not grating like Exene's off-key crooning can be. The songs are good ol' punk rock 'n roll and I can down a 12 pack of PBR to this any night!
