Album Review

After successful albums that effectively followed contemporary hard rock trends, Cinderella reached back into the Stones and Aerosmith songbooks and created a sneering, raunchy hard rock album that was artistically their finest moment, even if it didn't reach the same commercial heights as its predecessors. But the sales figures don't matter (it only sold a million copies); Heartbreak Station shows that Cinderella has more genuine rock & roll grit than most of the metal bands of the late '80s.

Excellent

Awesome album... buy it.. i am old school and have the casset cause that is all my truck plays but i want the cd... One For Rock and Roll is one of the best...it changes pace to more of a jam band type feel but the others are either kickin metal or a great ballad...buy it

Hair metal at its best

this is a very solid release by the best hair metal band besides the crue. heres a breakdown of the songs: The more things change: 10/10 great way to start the album, great riff, gets stuck in ur head once u hear it Love's got me doin time: 10/10 probably my favorite song on the album. the best word to descirbe this song is groovy Shelter me: 10/10 another amazing song. best ballad here, and their best ballad besides never know watcha got till its gone Heartbreak station 9/10: another great ballad, a little slow though Sick for the cure: 10/10 the drums on this track are sick. i bought a cowbell for my drumset mainly so i could play this song One for the road: 8/10 its ok, but kind of forgetable Dead man's road: 10/10 long but still great. if u listen to this the chorus will be stuck in ur head for a while Make your own way: 8/10 to be honest i wasnt sure what to rate this song. i dont listen to it much Electric love: 9/10 would be ten but its obviously a rip off of sweet emotion Love gone bad: 10/10 i wasnt sure what to rate this so i listened to it again and its definately the strongest track on the second half of the album Winds of change: 9/10 a nice ballad. good way to end the cd overall this is my personal favorite cinderella cd, and if u like hair metal u need to buy this

They Were My First Rock Concert...I Was 11

When Nevermind (Nirvana) was released I was not yet 18 years old, 17 and 10 months. They made all of the hair metal bands look like a bunch of ugly chics with only a talent for playing dress-up. I never even knew Cinderella released a third album. The title track is an amazing song. I did hear it 17 years ago but never purchased the album. That might change since the music of today is even lamer than what I thought of hair metal in 1991. Bring back Rock n' Roll, anybody!!!
