This group expresses exactly the kind of mood and approach to music I am after. I love it. This music works for me like an audial massage, getting at deep down kinks. It loosens. It's in your ears and your head at first but then it has a profound bodily impact. It relaxes and stimulates, even challenges you a bit. At the end of the listen, no matter how many minutes you had to spare, you feel cooly energized. And goll-lee, if it hasn't been said enough, Bill Stewart is the gad-dang tastefullest drummer that ever did place his perenium upon a drum throne.

Drummer Bill Stewart, best-known for his association with John Scofield, had a very impressive recording debut as a leader with Snide Remarks in 1995, a date featuring Scofield and Joe Lovano. Stewart first started on drums when he was seven and from an early age he listened steadily to jazz.
