Apoclyptic Metal at it best!!!!!!!
I've followed Saint since "Warrior of the Son" on Rotton Records back in the early/mid Eighties and I have to say this CD is by far the best they have done with "the Mark" a close second. I love the Apoclyptic lyrics they are so relivant in the times we live!!! If you are looking for Classic Metal with a message this is the band! Hell Blade hits the mark of a five rating and the more I listen the better it gets.

I gotta say, Saint has re-tooled their sound a bit! They haven't lost that style all of us old-school Saint fans have known them for, but they seem to have added some fresh edgy-ness/attitude that I for one have been hoping for.
This album has it. Great vocals, cool guitar riffs and sweet solos and punchy drums and bass, some memorable hooks and of course the judgement-day centered themes. Classic Saint but with just a little more to offer than their previous recent efforts IMO. I hope they keep going this direction and push themselves even more, maybe some faster tunes or more intricate breakdowns here and there on forthcoming albums, but I think this is great!

I want Saint to have the feel they had with Times End. I enjoy and appreciate all of there albums. What they haven't delivered since that album is the following three essential elements:
1. Shredding lead guitar
2. Snarling vocal attitude
3. Memorable hooks
I will give them credit for way better production. Even the song writing is much better.
There is one song on this album that captures that feeling I'm looking for and exceeds it. "Sinner Peace" is the
best Saint song ever. The music is mind blowing catchy. The lyrics are so
awesome. Very cool song!
