Album Review
An outstanding release from singer/songwriter Julie de Azevedo, who is showing increased skill with the guitar and a heightened pop/rock sensibility while never losing her lyrical integrity. This album absolutely rocks from start to finish and leaves the listener breathlessly waiting for her next album. While not necessarily a great starting point for new listeners, this album is considered a top pick because of its demonstration of the incredible musical growth she exhibits on this outing, especially when compared to her earlier releases. ~ Dacia A. One of the few Latter-day Saints to break into the mainstream market, singer/songwriter Julie de Azevedo shows incredible staying power. Her songwriting is marvelous, touching on many contemporary subjects with a hint of folk but big on pop-rock sound. She often touches on spiritual subjects, but only the experienced LDS member would be able to recognize that she's even doing so, her lyrics are so contemporary.
