Wit & Dre Murray are musical geniouses!!
Deeper than Christian rap
Reviewer bias: strong.
I've been digging Wit and Dre's material since HP1. Although they're Christians, I feel like the music isn't about banging you on the head with a Bible like a lot of Christian rappers. It's more about life and addressing the problems that aren't easily answered and the struggles Christians face. Dre is lyrically deep...I love his lyrics. It's just an opinion but these dudes are raising the bar for intelligent, thought-provoking Christian rap. And Wit's production is fantastic! If I could ask one thing I wish Wit would rap more on the tracks...I thought he KILLED it in his verse on "ego."
Also I like the features. Hopefully getting a big name like Lecrae will tune more people in to these dudes. It has the feel of a concept album, especially with the ending on Dark Knight Rises. Can't wait for the next episode!
Quality Production. Different
Wit & Dre are really getting their heads into this! This whole concept with the episodes and ideas is really great, its different. They're very expressive in their music and the productiion and arrangement is top notch, Im looking forward to hearing the whole album strainght through. Its really good buy it, its worth every cent.
