nice

this is my new favorite death metal group just listen to toxic paranoia and you will soon know what i am talking about.

A great band too often overlooked

I suppose it's easy to see why these guys are overlooked, having to contend with other huge Swedish metal bands like In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, Children of Bodom, etc. Nonetheless, this is a great Swedish metal band. They have a sound that's sort-of a cross between As I Lay Dying, Amon Amarth, and Arch Enemy (which is to say, Christian-melodic-death metal). These guys are not a Christian metal band, though. Their lyrics make pretty clear that they oppose organized religion. Musically, the band doesn't do anything particularly special or unique, but their music is hard-hitting and intense. They also released two other albums back in 2002-3 ( The Killer and Deathsquad, the latter of which is pretty awesome) that iTunes doesn't currently feature.

Impious are not part of the trends that have been described...
