Fantastic follow up to their first masterpiece!
Considering that I first learned of Apollo Run at a camp last year, (the camp at which John McGrew has worked) I suppose you could say that I'm a relatively new Runner, but I assure you this fact in no way affects how much I love and admire their music. The pure talent that McGrew, Kerestes, and Fisk have and the soul that they put into this EP are beyond description. Suffice it to say that this album is nothing short of a masterpiece. Having met John McGrew in person (he has composed music for plays I have previously acted in) all I can say is that he is a musical genius. I only wish that this band could receive all the recognition that it unarguably deserves. Above all else, I insist that everyone who reads this review must buy this album. It doesn't matter what kind of music you normally listen to, this album is a lesson in real music. The harmonies, beautiful and numerous timbres, and complex yet seamless blending of all the instruments warrant at the very least one full listen through, but let's just say that these five songs will have a permanent place on my iPod.
You don't know Apollo Run? Well you should.
They're fun, obnoxiously talented, and put on a great show. That's not to say that they're obnoxious, just that they're so good that once you buy this album it'll make the rest of your itunes library jealous.
CIty Lights is amazing ( great for running, too) Chasing Rabbits and Rhiannon are touching, FIreman is sexy, etc.
They're a melting pot of great music that'll satiate any appetite.

my boyfriend recently introduced me to this band, and i've been listening to them nonstop since then. the whole ep is worth a listen, and i encourage you to buy it; independent talent like this deserves the support and encouragement.
