Awesome! I took guitar lessons from this guy! I took his classes. Fred's the Man.
Relaxing and soothing
If you're looking for new interpretations of your favorites, then this is not it. However, the guitar's music is very lovely (if traditional). This music is very relaxing and soothing, and useful for those trying to learn how to play these classics themselves. The songs are all winners, and classics in the sense that you recognize the tune even if you cannot sing along. The picking is very clear and musically done. I was a little disappointed to discover that 'acoustic guitar classics' meant no lyrics at all. I was hoping that it meant 'no electric guitar' but with vocals. What I was searching for was another artist's interpretation (vocally) of the well-known songs, as well as a musically-driven new(ish) interpretation on the guitar. Still, it's nice to have this in the musical pantry along with the original tunes.
So Relaxing!
This is a great album for us 70's lovers who want to enjoy our classics in a new, stress-releiving format! Ahhhh!
