Disagree
I politely disagree with the rest of you. While this is no Miles or Ray, it is a new take on something classic. I found that Willie's voice is actually a pretty good fit for singing blues. I enjoy the first Willie and Wynton also, so I guess that just means my Coltrane loving ear isn't as refined as yours.
Who let this one out of the gate?
Vocally, there is a fine line between making a song your own and botching it. Willie's voice is kaput and Norah's vocals are like a roller coaster ride. Should have left this one as an instrumental. Only good this album does is to prove Ray to be superior.
