this is the perfect summer album. boots up on the dashboard kinda listen. where Pride was the record you treat like a Picasso or pagan art - a work to be viewed in firelight with careful attention and a sort of awe, Here's to Taking It Easy is the record that gets beat and worn from all the summer months of play in your car, or from constant play while hanging with friends, beer in hand. here's to taking it easy - it makes you do just that. great album.

I listen to matthew sing some sweet songs almost everyday... all of his albums are classic in my eyes. i really mean this with my whole heart. buy it, find it, get it... you will get it. mermaid parade is a perfect love song... a metaphor for the broken plans of life... when our body wanders.
