Pittsburgh Metal on the Map

Hero Destroyed tear through this EP with an impressive combo of speed, rumbling bass, and pummeling drums. That's not even including the scathing vocals. Hailing from Pittsburgh, these guys have been at it more than 10 years. Only recently have they gotten any sort of recognition. This EP is being put out on Relapse after having been out a year already. Look for a new full length next year on Relapse.

Mathcore Debut EP

Hero Destroyed creates some very creative mathcore/chaotic hardcore that sort of is in the vein of The Dillinger Escape Plan with touches of Behold... The Arctopus. Chaotic but well written songs barrage you with hardcore guitar and drums and harsh lyrics. I recommend buying the CD, it has a nice little insert and is well put together. Definately worth your time if you're into Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Burnt By The Sun, etc.
