Album Review
Unfortunately, the return to the high end of the charts that Alice Cooper enjoyed with 1989's Trash was short-lived. On his similar follow-up — another slick pop-metal effort — Cooper no longer had the input of hit producer/songwriter Desmond Child, and worked with Peter Collins instead. The result is an album that, although generally enjoyable and far from bad, isn't essential. The CD's more memorable offerings include the clever and amusing "Feed My Frankenstein," the dramatic "Love's a Loaded Gun," and the inspired title song — which admonishes rockers not to self-destruct. But despite its strong points, Hey Stoopid is for only Cooper's more devoted followers.
Customer Reviews
The Alice I'm use too!!!
This is more like it. Good combination of Rock & Roll. This entire CD is great. The best of the late 80's early 90's. Many guest on this CD, Ozzy on "Hey Stoopid". Feed my Frankinstein, Snakebite, Dirty Dreams all Rock Solid. All other songs fit one or more of Alice's past musical faces. I recommend it to any Alice Cooper fan.
alice coopers best
to me alice cooper never will never be able to come out with a more polished to perfection or better written album as hey stoopid.the songs hey stoopis, hurricane years and feed my frankenstein are some of alice's greatest achievements.might as well be on mars and burning our bed are great ballads and of course no album could ask to end with a better song than wind up toy.final say, awesome.
My personal favorite album
I love this album. This is a relentless hard rock album. Every song is amazing. Wind-Up Toy is my favorite song of all time. Not only is the album awesome, but it's one for the broken-hearted. The majority of the songs are about getting you over a toxic relationship, then it pulls out all the stops with the insanity of the final track. Buy this album.
