A Must Have for 2008

I have found my new favorite artist. This cd is isn't just a hidden beast but a hidden treasure in the musical community. His creativity reveals something completely original and ingenius with every new listen. I can't seem to stop playing it! My favorites would have to be And Rattle!, Aw Turkish Baby, Scared to Life and Praying but there is something for everyone on this album. Check it out! You will not be dissapointed.
Graeme K's Hidden Beast is amazing!

A bit of serendipity led me to Graeme K, damn I have always loved serendipity and this album proves the point. This has been the soundtrack of Fall 2008 for me and I see it drifting over into Winter 2009 as well. There is something dreamlike about the way Graeme layers sounds, it's visual equivalent would be rich collage or fine tapestry.
The track I have been obsessing on lately is “Finally” It is both driven, melodic and totally accessible. Every track here is great, however track one is nothing more than an interesting 10 second bit that according to an interview Graeme did on we heart music is an Audubon Society recording from a record about loons. Listen to the interview it’s great!
You cannot go wrong by owning the whole album. There is much here to love but for me after “Finally” I really enjoy “And Rattle!” and “Scared To Life”
Graeme K. is great and Hidden Beast is a real gem that I think serves notice of an up and coming real talent that I hope won’t remain hidden for too long.
