Good Stuff
Considering I am a connesieur of cover tunes, this album has some pretty good stuff!
Tribute to 80s better buy!
Just in case you missed it, there are two of these albums. This one, with the red cover, includes all the songs from the other album plus 12 other songs. This is an excellent buy and lets you rediscover some songs that are old favorites and explore some current artists who can become favorites.
It's about time!!!
Not since the Saturday Morning Cartoons compilation has such a unique and well-produced compilation come out. Tributing the teen films of the 80's is a ridiculously great idea. I can't believe I didn't know about this one. Matthew Sweet covering "American Girl" from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", "Lori McKenna" covering "In Your Eyes" from "Say Anything", and Kristin Hersh covering The Pixies "Wave of Mutilation" from "Pump Up The Volume" are favorites. I also love John Strohm's cover of Jackson Browne's "Somebody's Baby" which appeared in "Fast Times..." Great compilation! Congrats!!!
