INSANE

INSANELY AWESOME! Well done, Dying Fetus!

Dying Fetus does some amazingly brutal covers!!!

I just picked up this EP, not because of the covers, but because I'm a Dying Fetus fan. I hadn't really heard any of the orignal songs Dying Fetus chose to cover, but it didn't stop me from enjoying this EP whatsoever. There's definitely a little more sense of melody on some of these tracks than Dying Fetus fans may be used to, but I still enjoyed it. I actually enjoyed the one original track, Rohypnol, despite my inability to make out any words. Even if you've never listened to Dying Fetus, this album is made up of plenty of death metal that anyone can enjoy. It's fast, brutal, technical, and even melodic. It has every element one would expect from Dying Fetus album despite being under 25 minutes long.

Oohhhh, It's a COVER album..

When i 1st reviewed this album, my comments were from the devoted fan perspective, but now i know why this album sounds different from their norm.. Bcuz it's a cover album.. All tracks except for #4 i think..

1.) Fade Into Obscurity (Dehumanized cover), 2.) Unchallenged Hate (Napalm Death cover), 3.) Gorehog (Broken Hope cover), 5.) Unleashed Upon Mankind (Bolt Thrower cover), 6.) Twisted Truth (Pestilence cover), 7.) Born In A Casket (Cannibal Corpse cover)..

Hope this is helpful to my fellow metal heads.. \m/
