Holding On (Dany Wild vs. DJ Skillmaster)

Back in 2008, CAPP Records hired DJ, producer and videographer, Germany’s Dany Wild, to shoot a video for UK-based DJ, producer and vocalist DJ Skillmaster, and his single, Summertime. The two met-up on the beautiful beaches of Barcelona, Spain—and in the process became fast friends. Over the course of the weekend-long video shoot, the idea for a collaboration was born.

The result is Holding On. Co-written by Wild (Andreas Anschütz) and Skillmaster (Martin Stack), jointly produced, and sung by Skillmaster, this emotional song about love and loss is one that virtually anyone can relate to, while the exceptionally wide range of mixes in the package will suit any crowd.

The lead mix is from Dany Wild himself, delivering the track a fresh, edgy, and yet still mainstream compatible treatment. Tom Cut infuses the project with a wild electro ride of massive proportions, while DJ TLX dials-up the electro levels even farther. Edgy mixes from Disco Freak and Bonebox take the song in even different directions, while our own team of Jason Matthew and Cary August keep things right in the mainstream and radio-friendly. The package is rounded out by a mix steeped in trance by DJ Cobra, and a thumpin’ techno take by the ever-crazy Paragod.
