Awesome album from a great band

I bought this album after seeing the band live and seeing them perform "You're Gonna Hear From Me." When they introduced a song off their "new" album I was prepared to be disappointed, but was instead blown away by a great new tune that held its own alongside their classics. So, I bought the whole album on iTunes and was definitely not disappointed. If you don't like Night Ranger or don't like their classic sound, then don't write negative reviews on here, just go find another band. For those who are fans of the group, you'll really enjoy this album! Some added edge on songs like "White Knuckle Ride", a classic ballad with "There Is Life," this album is really enjoyable. Twenty five years later these guys can still deliver!

Get it!

This album is heavier than most of their other albums. It compare's most to Dawn Patrol. Tracks 3, 5, 7, and 9 are the best on the album. Tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, and 11 are OK. The acoustic versions of Sister Christian and DTMYLM are amazing, and are worth purchasing the album on their own.

No change to the formula

True blue fans of Night Ranger should not be disappointed by this set. They attempt to update their sound (check out Tell Your Vision), but in this reviewer's opinion it sounds borrowed. Tracks 4-11 make this worth the purchase, the consistent Night Ranger formula for "rock and hook" really shines through on those tracks. Those looking for another "Sister Christian" won't find it here, but rock in America isn't quite dead!

The group formed in the early '80s in San Francisco; in addition to Gillis and Fitzgerald, the members included Jack Blades (vocals, bass), Jeff Watson (guitar), and Kelly Keagy (drums). After a few local gigs, promoter Bill Graham managed to get them supporting slots on Judas Priest, Santana, and Doobie Brothers concerts....
