Original New Holiday or Homeless themed music...

That is sure to become a classic. Well written songa and marvelous performances of the songs,
are indicative of the inspired nature of ths album. Standouts include Anonymous American's
gentle yet strong "alone for christmas" the Government's "Merry Christmas from the family" which also could be called "I'm hoping for a white trailer trash christmas, too". the harder edged
but lovely Beach Boys-like harmonies of the Icares song "Christmas Scar", the song "Whim" by
Kill Bosby(!) which is the only song on the CD that doesn't mention Christmas directly but instead brings attention to an often overlooked aspect of Homelessness- the runaway problem. Well, all these songs are standouts, but there are a couple of gems in the remaining songs that I'd be remiss if I did not Bring to your attention.

One of them is the song by Scott Severin "X-mas B&E", which is lyrically complex, and tells the story of a homeless guy breaking into someones garage looking to steal things, it finishes with the homeowner throwing a 20 dollar bill in the face of the Homeless B&E'r instead of shooting him. Musically it follows a similar track, with a simple bass line initially dragging the song down, but as it gets less prominant and faster this song beoomes a racous joy until the party is over.

The other song is one for the kiddies, in particular, but I am 50 years old and I find it amusing and listen to it all the time, It is Richard Schultz and the Miracle Men's version
of the 40's era classic by Gayla Peavey. "I want a Hippopotamus (for Christmas)" My grandkids
love this tune and aak me to play it year round.

Come to think of it, this whole album is a good listen year round. Why haven't heard these songs on the Radio? Since it was released in late 2006. These songs don't sound at all dated.
