Great success as background music for a backyard BBQ
I used this album over the weekend for a backyard BBQ, and it worked perfectly. Several people commented that they liked the music because it was festive without being overpowering.

Read the album notes if you don't understand the instrumentation of this band. They are THE CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE STEEL DRUM COLLECTION. I saw them play in Germany at a U.S military base. They are the real deal!
Pans Remembered
I stumbled upon The Carnival Steel Drum Band and listening to this album brought me back to the year that Disney World opened and I stood for most of the day listening to a live pan band in Pirates of the Carribean. Bravo, the begining of steel drum music searches.
