Like the Pixies at a hoedown!

Full disclosure: I loved this band so much I signed 'em to my label, Snack Bar. That said, give a listen. It's car-commercial, cop-show, Tarantino-credits music. Scott Wynn, the leader's, story, is intense: he grew up in Appalachia, is the first man in his family not to become a coalminer. His family grew tobacco, too--he was given his own mule and plow at age 15! His is a classic American maverick's story--and he makes sexy, bouncy, sly American music.

Intelligent rock, origin of Hotshots Boy

Every ounce of this music has meaning... and in more ways than you think. I have a little insight on the music... and the man because I know Scott. He lives 5 miles from me. They called his dad Hotshot back in the day. People became to know Scott as Hotshot's Boy. Hey! That's Hotshots Boy!! Look at 'em go!

awsome!!

I have never really heard anything like this band before. their songs are simple yet complicated, chill but make you want to get up and dance. i say anyone who is looking for a brand new sound to listen to this band. this band should not have to PANDER (haha) for your support just listen to "Come On" or "Shane" and you will love them. buy this CD i promise that you will like it. and if you don't i will refund you the money spent!!!

Wynn also gravitated toward the country-tinged shuffle of Johnny Cash, whose influence would later find its way into Wynn's own music. Having left the...
