This EP has been on repeat for about a week now. Well worth the money, he kind of has a Jake Shears vibe going on... I dig it.
An EP to have, an artist to watch
Allies joins Hot Chip and Caribou in contention for the Most Infectious Album of the Year. There's a quality to tracks like "Hour of the Wolf" and "Temporary Home" that moves Allies beyond a genre label like "dance" and into the realm of universal pop. You can dance to it, or put on some headphones and space out. 6 bucks well spent.
a playful romp frew dancey land...ya heard
They hooked me with effortless sunshine grooves of "springtime"..... and the hour of the wolf, makes me want to go out of my home and search for things, after dancing of corse! These guys are really onto something... it's just my taste, great beats, smooth vocals, without all that heady, overworked shenanidance. Thank you Allies for keeping the groove in my hometown nice!
