Overall another House of Om treat
I bought this Groove Junkies set due to my intense love of House of Om - Fred Everything, and although I would say this is very nicely mixed, it seemed a bit too much of a Gospel House album and after a few tracks of that it wears on me a bit, we're talking a running theme in this mix. Also I was expecting more of a deep house set for some reason (my association with Om Records) but this is not, it's more a funky house album with themes of Afro-Gospel. I did however like his infusion of sax and flute throughout, even if they weren't quite fresh or exclusive tracks to Groove Junkies
Non-stop Bible Thumpin' Preaching (with a dance track)
I am a huge fan of the Om label. I also own and love a few songs that have a bit of that gospel thing going on. However, this is WAY over the top. I feel like I purchased a Sunday morning sermon with a dance track underneath it.
Like Sunday Church....
Nice beats, but a few too many religious songs for me. Several of these are a bit preachy, not my taste in dance music. Otherwise, nice grove, lots of horns and fun mixes. Dont care for the continuous mix....you can't just cut to the next track.
