Groovy
This is a fantastic record! If you're a fan of Jason Mraz and Bob Schneider, you'll definitely dig Justin Trawick's music. He seamlessly blends acoustic rock with quick-talking almost-hip-hop, overlaying his eclectic backing band with honest, clever lyrics. Every note is spot-on, but with a sense of spontaneity, as though you're actually hearing a live show, rather than a studio album. Brilliant!
Good music AND good lyrics
Which let's face it...isn't all that common. Either you've got great music that goes with somewhat lame or nonsensical words, or wicked poems set to tuneless junk. This takes the honesty of folk and pairs it with the hipness of today. Best of both worlds. Great album.
Great Performer! Stops you dead in your tracks!
I have seen Justin Trawick play live many times in the Washington, DC area. I always enjoying hearing Justin play, no matter how many times I see him or how often. He is always writing new music. Even though I hear him often, he always announces that he is playing a "new song." Never a dull moment. Justin is just as good solo as he is with his entire band that includes an upright bass, drums, cello, and piano. Justin has won awards for his song writing and when you see him Live or hear his CD you will understand why when people walk by or hear him play, they are stopped dead in their tracks! I love Justin's music! I think you will too!
