Human Jungle
This Iranian duo have a fresh and relevant sound which reveals a poignant perspective coming out of a community in which expression like theirs and those of their colleagues is suppressed sometimes vigorously by Iranian authorities. There is an honesty and courage in the simply melodies and lyrics and they have managed to put a unique fingerprint to their arrangments which is exciting and thoroughly enjoyable. Look also at the compilation from the film No One Knows About Persian Cats in which the majority of pieces are from this group but which also contains other exteremly good music from contemporary, underground Iranian artists. Look for the film for more background.
