I AM HERE
i'm the one who wrote the songs and sings on this album and i think it has a very heartfelt soulful vibe with catchy hooks and good melodies, all over some sweet reggae riddims! if you like singer's songs and a decent voice and lyrics then i think you'd dig this. i'd like to think if you like stevie wonder, bob marley, otis redding, amos lee, ben harper, jack johnson, tracy chapman, donny hathaway then this may be a good pick for you. hope you enjoy my latest work as much as i enjoy creating it! peace..
J-Ro continues to rock it!
This album is a very solid piece of work. Based heavily in a roots-reggae-meets-heartfelt-soul vibe, Jethro's music continues to mesh and meld the familiar skankin' rythyms that dread-heads love with his soulful and tender voice. Listeners will find that I Am Here offers a wide variety of arangements and emotions on Jethro's heartfelt and personal songs. From the funk-infused roots-reggae feel of "Cup of Change", to the dub-laced "Irie I" and organ-heavy "Ebb & Flow", Jethro showcases his vocal harmonies. J-Ro sounds particularly vulnerable (in a good way) on "Easier" and reminds you that he can also do simple and sweet on the acoustic "Nobody Home". I Am Here is a great listen from start to finish.
