Customer Reviews

Inspired, thoughtful, helpful

This is a wonderful collection, with several masterpieces, and a nicely thought out arrangement. The best are "Christ Has Come to Be Life" and "Thy Might Love" and just these 2 alone make the album worth it.

The album is arranged in a sequence that is quite meaningful, starting from experiences of the Lord before salvation, several on the initial Christian experience, but then moving on to enjoyment of growth in the church life, consecration, new levels of appreciation, fighting the battle, and eventually standing for God's Building. It's really inspiring.

Let me provide details on what I think is the best song, and if nothing else, you must buy this one:

"Christ Has Come to Be Life" is that rare combination of upbeat, uplifting music and truly profound biblical revelation. I must admit that I enjoyed it for years without really listening just because of the rhythm and catchy chorus ("I've got rivers of life flowing out of my inner most being") and a few good lines ("If I do the drinking then God gives the growth", "God is full of intent and never could flow aimlessly",...). But then I realized that the whole song reveals how God is the way He is (Triune) not so that we can understand some doctrine, but because He has a definite intention that we would enjoy the flow of His life in our being. In other words, the song tells a story starting from the Father as the source of the flow, touching on our amazing experience of initial salvation, but then moving further to an appreciation of growing as we continue enjoying the flow of His life in us. To top it off, the arrangement of male and female voices adds emphasis at just the right points, strengthening the message. It's really masterful. How rare to combine a beautiful tune with such depth of meaning!
