Music full of grace and thankfulness
Anyone who is familiar with Kathryn's music from her prior albums and/or compilations will appreciate this album as well. This is a bit of a departure from many of her prior recordings, of which many were worship songs with church background vocals, while others were a bit more upbeat. This album is more personal. Her lyrics are real emotion exuding love, trust and gratitude toward her Savior. Her music is heartfelt and experiential - you can sense that her lyrics flow out of her journey with The Lord. Please take a moment and have a listen. I am certain you will be blessed by what you hear. Special Note: All of these songs are wonderful. If I had to select a favorite it would be "I Belong." Also, Kathryn's fantastic worship experience album is SATISFY.
Kathryn Scott - I Belong
God and us: We're inseperable. Kathryn Scott echoes this theology throughout her lifting second release on Integrity. Improved production and a wise lyrical approach (songs are addressed to God instead of a more works-based viewpoint) reveal a new maturity from this Northern Ireland worship pastor - a sweet mis of sincere devotion and soaring melodies.
Good Theology - Beautiful Melodies
I'm really glad to see that Kathryn has finally released an album as a recording artist. She not only is a creative song writer but has a beautiful pure voice. Some of my favorite songs are I Belong, Only True God and Grace has Called My Name. Well Done, Kathryn! Great Trinitarian song writing and well thought-out lyrics. So refreshing to hear from a female song writer!
