I Dream in Autoplay (just don't! miss the others)
Climber ( I Dream...) puts a fresh sound in your ear with realaxing vocals and energetic beats. Climber seems to me to be a Ying-Yang of musical talent/genius that is perfect company during any activity from skating to yoga. Don't miss out on the other two albums (Archive and the self titled Climber) that are true bargins with great alternate versions of Escape, Safe Kids, Always Right and many more amazing songs. Thanks Climber cant wait for more!
An amazing debut!
I am so happy to see this album come out. Climber has an amazing talent for composition. This album definately goes far beyond their EP. "Stop That Holy Dance" and "You're Not Ready" are two of my favorites. Enjoy!
Climber.... Simply Amazing
First off.. I love Climber, I have followed them a few years and have been eagerly awaiting their first full-length. They are an excellent band. I have had this album in constant rotation in my car for a bit over a month and it has amazed me every time. Excellent musical composition, feel, ambience and beat to every song. While I do think they could've done even better with higher production values, their songs have the perfect balance of production and raw power that is just great to hear. Climber has the wonderful habit of creating several different versions of their songs, and appearing here are album versions of both "Always Right" and a live version of "Escape". Both are some of their best, worth the purchase of the album alone. The best part about this album is its scope. Every song is unique in its own right, rotating around a constant tug of lyrical confusion, steadfastness, wonderment and despair. The only drawback to this album, I think, is that, while the melodies are great, I can't always understand the lyrics, thus making me sound a bit confused while singing along. But that's just part of the charm.
