Remembering the days
by Now With KidsWhen I was young, I was filled with teenage angst and listened to Nirvana, Stabbing Westward and the like. My dad always listened to smoother, more country sounds: Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, and Eddie Rabbit. The twangy rhythms and smooth vocals found here are relaxing and purposeful all at once. This short list of songs brings back nostalgic memories of driving through the northern woods with my dad, and I now appreciate all those road trips, and me being forced to expand my horizons.
