Album Review
Shirley Caesar's poignant rembrances of her mother set the stage for this album that mixed sentimental fare with rocking evangelism and surging performances. No Golden Age gospel artists have been more successful at retaining their zeal while adapting to contemporary production and arranging tendencies than Caesar. She doesn't compromise her lyrical message, but will hold still for electronics, strings, and even an occasional funk backbeat. This resulted in another hit album for a gospel legend.

this is a very TOUCHING CD, lifts my spirit everytime I play it.. thanks for sharing with us Ms.Caesar
Truly inspirational
I remember replaying this album over and over because it calmed and soothed me when I was at my lowest points. Shirley really makes her words count in this one. Praising but not preachy.
A gospel Legend
No offense to the last poster, but It would take a fool like ( markus fillippo) to write a comment so aloof, and arogant as his. You would think, with a name like Fillippo, you will keep your thoughts to yourself or mouth shut. Anyway, (wooooo, breathe.... let me count to ten and calm down) Okay I am going to nice, I am going to assume this person does not really know who Shirley Ceasar is. I think Shirley Cesar, has displayed and carried the message of Jesus Christ with integrity and class for more than 50 years. She is a Gospel Legend in her right, as well as humanatarian, and activist. Her sermons and messages, have carried my family through victory through some great trials over the past 30 years. I'm very thankful for her ministry love, and her commitment to lead others without compromising the gospel truth.
