The Flaming Lips Rock!
This a cool song by a an amazing band and is definetly worth the 99 cents. The Flaming Lips have done it again! Thanks.
So far past selling out you just have to laugh...
Seriously, I have no problem if Wayne and Steven write tossed-off songs for romantic comedies and animated children's movies as long as they pull it together for the real albums, but "At War With the Mystics" was subpar and they seem to be writing these strained, kind of meta-songs about the idea of feeling good about yourself, instead of the song itself giving you a positive outlook. And all the goofy sound effects don't help. I think Wayne needs to hook up with Jonathan Donahue (Mercury Rev, ex-Lips) again, because they're both in a rut. Anyway, this particular song isn't that bad, but it can't touch anything off Transmissions, or even Yoshimi for that matter.
