This is real music in the spirit of music. More, please.
It's interesting to see more of a pop structure over a looped, tasty keyboard lick. I hope this isn't the best track off of Glass Drop because it's just about flawless. Get me?
Upbeat, grows on you
At first listen, this seems a bit too poppy for Battles. The hook is definitely catchy and straight forward, but the rest of the song's arrangement is anything but. The drums and bass sound especially rich.

Battles is a quartet comprised of drummer John Stanier of Helmet and Tomahawk, guitarist/keyboardist Ian Williams of Don Caballero and Storm & Stress, guitarist David Konopka of Lynx, and avant solo musician Tyondai Braxton. All members bring their honed-in angular math skills of past glory to Battles. The Tras and EP C EPs were both released in June 2004 on Cold Sweat and Monitor respectively.
